System requirements

Client OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit), versions supported by Microsoft. Not supported: Windows 8.1, Windows 10 S mode, Windows 11 IoT, Linux.
Server OS: Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022 (Regular or Small Business Server).
CPU: 2.4 GHz processor.
Client RAM: 8 GB (16 GB recommended).
Server RAM (multi-user): 8 GB (5 users); 12 GB (10 users); 16 GB (15 users); 20 GB (20+ users).
Disk: 2.5 GB recommended (plus space for data files); SSD recommended for best performance.
Barcode scanners (Advanced Inventory Pick/Receive): Honeywell Voyager 1602 Pocket, Socket Mobile CHS 7CI, Symbol CS3070. Recommendation: TC26 Mobile Computer.
Internet: Required for Desktop Enterprise subscriptions, payroll, payments, and online banking features.
QuickBooks Desktop App: Included with Desktop subscriptions. Install on camera-enabled Android 6.0+ or iOS 14+ device.
Product registration: Required.
Display: Optimized for 1280×1024 or higher. Supports one workstation monitor + up to 2 extended monitors. Optimized for default DPI.

Integration with other software

Word/Excel integration: Microsoft Office 2016–2021 or Microsoft 365 (64-bit).
Emailing docs: Microsoft Outlook 2016–2019, Microsoft 365 (64-bit), Gmail™, Outlook.com®, and other SMTP-supporting clients.
POS: Integration with QuickBooks POS 19.0.
Data transfer: From Quicken 2016–2022; QuickBooks Mac/Mac Plus 2021–2024 (US only); Microsoft Excel 2016–2021 or Microsoft 365 (64-bit).

Browser requirement

Google Chrome is required.

Data management

Uses AES-256 for data encryption for all PCI and PII data.

Operational security

Certification: PCI PA-DSS certified, assessed annually as a payment application.
Data residency: Remainder not applicable—program is installed in the customer’s environment and no data is stored on Intuit systems.
