How Can We Help?
Restore Quickbooks Backup (.qbb)
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open QuickBooks on your computer. |
| 2 | Go to the File menu and select "Open or Restore Company". |
| 3 | In the new window, select "Restore a backup copy" and click "Next". |
| 4 | Choose "Local backup" and click "Next". |
| 5 | Navigate to the location where your QuickBooks backup file (.qbb) is stored. |
| 6 | Select the backup file and click "Open". |
| 7 | In the "Save Company File as" window, choose where you want to save the restored file. |
| 8 | Give the file a name (or keep the existing name) and click "Save". |
| 9 | If prompted about overwriting an existing file, confirm that you want to proceed. |
| 10 | Wait for QuickBooks to restore the backup. This may take a few minutes. |
| 11 | Once restoration is complete, QuickBooks will open the restored company file. |
Note: Always ensure you have a current backup before restoring an old one. Restoring a backup will overwrite any changes made since that backup was created.
